Glow® Birth & Body is the embodiment of the passion, care and dedication of Sara Lyon; author, massage therapist, doula and birth educator. Beginning in 2010 as a cozy treatment room in Oakland, California, we’ve since then blossomed into two sophisticated studios, one in Oakland and one in Chicago- transforming our clients’ pregnancy journeys into an intimate experience through nurturing bodywork and highly sought-after birth support.
As our family of massage therapists, acupuncturists, birth educators and doulas has grown, we’ve been welcomed into the homes and lives of over 12,000 women - each bringing her own needs, differences, and perspectives to the treatment room. Learning, growing, and sharing these special moments with you are what keep us going at Glow®, and we look forward to supporting even more women as we continue to grow.

FOUNDER
SARA LYON
A SoCal native, Sara graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in sociology. Sara holds diplomas in orthopedic massage, prenatal massage and Shiatsu.
The founder of Glow®, author of The Birth Deck and You’ve Got This, Sara brings her passion and rich experience as a doula, childbirth educator and mother to all pre and postnatal women seeking support for the growing needs of their minds and bodies.
